# Caravel — multi-agent coding workspace

[English](https://caravel-site.pages.dev/en/index.md) · [简体中文](https://caravel-site.pages.dev/index.md)

> A local-first workspace for multiple AI coding agents. Delegate tasks, track progress, and review code in one desktop app.

## What is Caravel?

Caravel is built for developers working across projects and tasks. It brings Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, pi, Grok, TRAE, and Antigravity into one workbench while users keep their own agents, model accounts, and IDE.

## Platforms and requirements

- macOS: Apple Silicon and Intel, with a universal installer and in-app updates.
- Windows: x64, with signed in-app updates. Older clients must first install a version that supports automatic updates; the latest installer also supports manual updates.
- Both platforms provide the complete app with all feature modules.
- Start with a local project, Git, and a working agent / model account. Windows also requires Git for Windows and Node.js.
- Install or upgrade agents in Caravel Settings, then sign in and configure a model. Model subscriptions and API fees are charged by their respective providers.

## Which agents can I use?

Caravel supports Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, pi, Grok, TRAE, and Antigravity. Available features depend on the agent and its installed version. TRAE requires CLI 2.0 and an Enterprise Flagship account. Caravel organizes these tools; it does not replace their runtimes, model services, or your IDE.

## What you can do

- Manage multiple agents, projects, and parallel tasks; follow conversations, execution progress, and permission requests in one place.
- Run tasks in the original workspace, an isolated copy, or a separate branch. Review code diffs before deciding to merge, continue, or discard changes.
- Create scheduled reminders, scripts, or agent tasks, and review their run history.
- Save prompts and skills, and turn successful conversations into reusable workflows with human approval steps.
- Browse and edit files, inspect diffs, query databases, manage to-dos and an inbox, and build small personal apps.
- Review task efficiency, model costs, and results to improve subsequent work.
- Optionally connect Feishu to follow tasks, continue conversations, grant permissions, and review results from a phone without configuring a public server address.

## Typical workflow

1. Install an agent, choose a project, describe a goal, and select an agent and model.
2. Follow task progress and respond to permission requests or questions.
3. Review the resulting changes and choose how to deliver them.
4. Reuse successful prompts and workflows, or schedule recurring work.

## Local-first and the browser demo

Tasks, conversations, workspaces, and personal knowledge are managed locally. Agents still connect to online models, dependency services, and any external integrations the user enables. Local-first does not mean every operation is offline.

The [browser demo](https://caravel-site.pages.dev/demo/?lang=en) uses the actual product interface with sample data. Task execution, model replies, Git changes, database results, and statistics are simulated. It does not invoke agents, connect to databases, or read and write the visitor's disk. Business data resets on refresh; interface preferences are remembered. Desktop capabilities require the installed application.

## Download and installation

Get the current version from the [official latest release](https://github.com/yy36295238/caravel-releases/releases/latest). On macOS, open the universal DMG and drag Caravel into Applications. On Windows x64, run the setup EXE.

The installers are currently unsigned, and the macOS app is not notarized. Verify the download source and follow the [installation and first-launch help](https://caravel-site.pages.dev/en/#install-help) if the operating system blocks launch.
